Renovation of Lampman Park

Gold Hill will soon have a chance to improve the health of the Rogue River and gain improvements to our park lands, all at NO COST to the city! The Freshwater Trust has offered to clear all the non-native brush along the river in Lampman Park, and then plant and maintain native trees. The mature trees will shade the river and provide a nice sound break for the residents of town. All the planting is done in the protected 'riparian zone', so the city is still free to develop the park in the future however we please. The Freshwater Trust will appear before our City Council on November 4th to present their plan for the restoration of a half-mile of river frontage.
